Chair, Navy Medicine Operational Clinical Community
Chair, Navy Medicine Operational Clinical Community – Please review attached
announcement. The responsibilities of the OpMed NMOCC Chair include
oversight of Advisory Board and the eight (8) Sub-Communities – Aerospace
Medicine, Maritime Blood OPT, Fleet Surgical Teams, Independent Duty
Corpsmen, Operational Forces Medical Liaison Services, Surface Medicine,
Undersea Medicine, and the Warrior Wellness Network. The Chair will provide
guidance on all work products and initiatives within the NMOCC and
facilitate communication and collaboration between the Sub-Communities. The
Chair will represent the OpMed NMOCC at the Navy Medicine Wellness,
Readiness, Quality (NMWRQ) Cell meeting on the third Monday of the month
from 1500-1630 EST.
This is a great leadership opportunity for a senior O-5 or O-6 interested in
staying involved with the operational medicine communities, gain exposure to
leadership within BUMED, and continue to make a positive impact for all
Sailors and Marines.

MC Policy & Practice Officer – O5/O6
Policy and Practice Officer, Medical Corps – The Medical Corps Chief seeks qualified officers to fill the O-5/O-6 level position as Policy and Practice Officer for the Medical Corps Chiefs Office. The selected individual must possess the required experience and demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform and execute the duties and responsibilities as outlined at the attached position description. The assignment is 36 months, and the primary duty location is in Falls Church, Virginia. The selected individual should arrive no later than Jan 1, 2023, with early reporting authorized.

Hot Fill for Fall 2021 – MC Career Planner Position – CAPT(s)/CAPT
This position is located within the Office of the Navy Medical Corps, Office of the Corps Chiefs, BUMED. This position serves as a focal point for dissemination of leadership, coursework and officer development for 3700 Active and 500 Reserve physicians. Specific roles include but are not limited to recruitment, career consultation, Career Development Board oversight, and board membership/leadership for several critical committees within BUMED.
Requirements for the position include rank of CAPT or CAPT select, board certification in any medical specialty, a solid understanding of both MTF and operational medicine practice, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
