This is great information. Far more than what I usually got in my career. You are correct that we often learn what we need too late to use it. Good luck with the blog!

Joel, this is awesome information, and greatly appreciated, thanks! Really helped me as I prepared for promo board this past cycle.

Great info. As the MC Advisor at my command, this is very helpful! I wish I had access to this earlier in my career. Thanks!

Good afternoon. Does anyone know if HPSP graduates can claim AQD 2/2/3 “Other Scholarship”? The awarding criteria reads: “Graduated from the a Postgraduate Program resulting in unique skills or original selection was based on exceptional under-graduate education”.—-Sounds to me like HPSP would fit this description….

You could try to get it, but IMO it will have absolutely no impact on anything.

Great article! Joel’s insights into preparing for a promotion are invaluable. I especially liked his emphasis on the importance of building relationships with key stakeholders and developing a strong personal brand. I’ve been following Joel’s advice on LinkedIn for a while now, and I’ve seen firsthand how he has used these strategies to advance his own career. I’m confident that anyone who puts his advice into practice will be well on their way to getting promoted.
