RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN message solicits applications for the Academic Year 
(AY) 2024 Nurse Corps Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program (NC MECP) 
selection board.  The AY-24 NC MECP selection board will convene in the Fall 
of 2023.  NC MECP provides a path for Active Duty (AD) and Training and 
Administration of the Reserve (TAR) enlisted Sailors and Marines in any 
rating or military occupational specialty who already have some college 
credit to obtain a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a commission in the 
NC. Reserve Component enlisted Sailors in any status other than TAR are 
not eligible. 
 
2.  Applications must be postmarked by 1 September 2023 and mailed to:

Any additional required documentation not yet available for the original 
application package must be received no later than 15 September 
2023.  Incomplete packages will not be reviewed by the board. 
 
3.  Reference (a), chapters 1, 2, and 5, provide application procedures and 
requirements which should be read in their entirety. Additional application 
information can be found via MyNavy Portal (MNP) 
at https://www.mnp.navy.mil/group/career-planning/commissioning-programs on 
the NC MECP link.  Applicants must not have reached their 42nd birthday by 
the time of initial commission. Age waivers will not be granted.  A Marine 
administrative message will outline conditional release procedures for AD 
Marines who are selected to participate in the program. 
 
4.  Amplifying information for the AY-24 NC MECP selection board: 
    a.  Applicants assigned to a nuclear training command or who hold a 
nuclear Navy enlisted classification and are applying for the 
AY-24 NC MECP selection board must obtain conditional release from nuclear-
field duty prior to submitting their application for consideration.  To 
obtain a conditional release, an applicant must submit an Enlisted Personnel 
Action Request (NAVPERS 1306/7) to the Nuclear Propulsion Program Management 
Office (OPNAV N133) via their detailer. 
    b.  Applicants not assigned to nuclear programs must submit a 
NAVPERS 1306/7 to their enlisted community manager to obtain the conditional 
release. 
 
5.  Once approved, the selection board results will be released and posted 
via MNP at the NC MECP link.

Director of Mental Health, NMC San Diego – O5/O6

The position is open to Navy officers of all Corps at the O-5/O-6 level whose professional education and training demonstrate a fundamental understanding of mental health matters.

Interested candidates must be available to assume the position’s duties at NMRTC San Diego by October 1, 2023. Discussion with your Specialty Leader and Detailer, in conjunction with the application, is required. If interested and eligible, please submit a package containing a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, biography, PRIMS data, last three fitness reports, and letter(s) of recommendation (up to 3) no later than April 14, 2023. Seeking HPSP Interviewers and Board Members

The MC Chiefs Office is soliciting officers to serve as either HPSP interviewers or HPSP board members. These officers play a vital role in shaping the future of the Navy Medical Corps. Ideal candidates are O4 and above with board certification and operational experience, although all applicants will be considered. The Corps Chief’s office will provide training for all selected interviewers and board members. Applicants may only participate as interviewers or board members. The length of commitment is at least one year.

  • Navy Recruiting Command contacts identified Medical Corps members directly for rolling interviews.
  • HPSP Boards occur monthly, and a subset of board members will participate in each board. Please plan to participate in at least two boards each year.

Interested officers should submit their CV and Bio to CDR Robyn Treadwell by April 25, 2023. Please identify whether you want to be an interviewer or a board member.
