This is the policy that governs what happens to people who fail to promote. I’ve highlighted the sections that are relevant to Navy Medicine personnel in this version of the NAVADMIN:
New FITREP End Dates for O5 and O6
The end date of CAPT and CDR FITREPs have changed effective 1 JAN 2027:
O6 Periodic FITREPs ending date change from 31 JUL to 31 MAR.
O5 Periodic FITREPs ending date change from 30 APR to 30 JUN.
These changes aim to provide Reporting Seniors more time to consider O6 promotion selection results for O5 FITREPs and to improve the O7 selection board process by ensuring Reporting Senior Cumulative Average (RSCA) data is populated and O6 FITREPs are reflected in member records.
