USU’s National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation Strengthens Partnerships for a Changing World
BLUF – The Uniformed Services University’s National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation is bringing disaster medicine, global health engagement and security-cooperation education under one organization to strengthen U.S. and partner-nation health systems and improve readiness for disasters, humanitarian crises and conflict. For Navy Medicine, the institute provides a framework for expanding medical interoperability with allies and civilian partners—including shared trauma systems, evacuation planning and medical logistics—capabilities increasingly important for distributed operations where U.S. forces may depend on partner nations for casualty care and sustainment.
