National Disaster Medical System Pilot Program Director, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences – President, Uniformed Services University requests Service nominations to fill this full-time position within the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. The scope of duties requires an O-6 or 06 select officer with the background, experience, and character traits to credibly represent USU within the DoD, the Federal government, the academic community, and private-sector healthcare organizations. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to lead successfully within the complex military environment with headquarters (e.g., Agency, Service, COCOM) experience, leading enterprise-wide programs, policy, and initiatives with a track record of successful collaboration across inter-Service and/or Federal interagency programs. Applicants need to be subject matter experts in relevant professional areas, including Emergency Management, Disaster Response, Medical Surge, Healthcare Systems, and Public Health Emergencies.
