JOB OPPORTUNITY – DIRECTOR, ARMED FORCES RADIOBIOLOGY RESEARCH INSTITUTE – JULY 2023
- Director, Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) – President, Uniformed Services University requests Service nominations to fill this full-time position at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. The scope of duties requires an O-6 officer (or selected to that grade) with the background, experience, and character to credibly represent AFRRI and USU within the academic community. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of operational doctrine, including health service support and nuclear operations, holds an MD/DO or equivalent graduate degree in a health-related discipline, nuclear physics, or nuclear engineering, and has demonstrated the ability to lead successfully with the academic and operational environments. The assignment is 36 months, and the desired report date is July 2023.

Nomination Package Requirements (specific to each request):
1. Letter of interest from the officer that includes a summary of military and civilian education, assignment history, interest in CBRNE defense, and operations and research.
2. Three references with names and contact information.
