Personal Finance

One of my hobbies is personal finance and I write quite a bit about it. You can find my personal finance content in a few places:

  • A column called “Dollars & Sense” in a national Emergency Medicine newsletter called “Common Sense.” The articles can be found half-way down this page.
  • Many personal finance blog posts on, all visible here.

I used to blog on a military personal finance site called, but I no longer had the time to do so and had to shut it down. That is why some of the links to older articles may not work.
