MC Retention and Exit Survey
Senior leadership knows there have been a lot of organizational changes causing stressors to you as a physician. Many issues directly impact the Medical Corps and our manning. The Medical Corps Chief’s Office needs to hear what affects you most to help influence meaningful and impactful change for our organization. Please tell us what particular retention and exit factors are essential to you. We have developed a no-nonsense Medical Corps Retention and Exit Survey. It has specific MC retention, exit, and burnout questions. Your answers will provide us with what levers senior leadership can pull to directly impact your quality of life and sense of value. It is not a time-intensive survey. Your candid responses will impact our Corps for the better.

Medical Dept. Responsibilities for the Physical Readiness Program
Background: Important updates to the Navy’s physical fitness program have been published, to include updated Authorized Medical Department Representative (AMDR) Training, BUMEDINST 6110.15B (below), and changes to pregnancy notification which may affect pregnant Service members during the current PRT cycle.
- 2023 AMDR Training has been released on the MyNavy HR Physical Readiness Page. www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Support-Services/Culture-Resilience/Physical-Readiness//
- BUMEDINST 6110.15B-MEDICAL DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PHYSICAL READINESS PROGRAM is a complete revision and should be read in entirety by all medical department personnel, AMDRs, MEB convening authority, and command leadership.
- ALNAV 017/23 states that Service members can delay notification of pregnancy to their command until 20 weeks gestation to provide the member with time and flexibility to make private health care. To comply with this guidance, the MyNavy Portal PARFQ landing page provides temporary guidance on how Sailors should answer if they choose not to disclose their pregnancy status prior to 20 weeks. CFLs should continue to respect the medical privacy for all Sailors with medical waivers.

Adjustment Disorder Study
BLUF: Recruiting military healthcare providers to participate in a one-time questionnaire as part of a CDMRP-funded study on Adjustment Disorders in the military.
Adjustment Disorders (ADs) are the most common mental health diagnosis in the military population and have a substantial impact on our troops’ readiness. However, there remains substantial variation in how troops with adjustment disorders are identified and diagnosed. Our research has developed a military-specific diagnostic tool (ADNM-20-Mil) for provider use with diagnosing ADs in service members.
As part of this study, we are asking health care providers to assess their intentions to use the ADNM-20-Mil as part of their tool kit for diagnosing ADs. As a military healthcare provider, your input on our questionnaire is an important part of this study. We hope you will consider participating. If you are interested in learning more about our study, or participating, please click the link to our secured website here, or copy and paste the following link: https://nursing.usuhs.edu/adj-study. We also ask that you share this email with your colleagues as a way to disseminate study recruitment.
