Director of Surgical Services at Lejeune
Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune is accepting applications for the position of Director of Surgical Services (DSS). The DSS position is open to Navy Medical Department officers of all Corps at the O-5/O-6 level with a professional background in surgical related services. Individuals not already in the local commuting area should discuss their interest with their detailer and will need to be available for a 2024 PCS move in anticipation of a three-year assignment. Inquiries and/or application materials should be sent to CAPT Jamie Fitch, Director of Surgical Services. All application materials including Letter of intent, CV, and one-page biography, must be received by close of business (1600 EST) on Friday, 08 December 2023.
Need Physicians for Suturing Clinic at Conference in Chicago (Funded)
Last year, Navy Medical Corps supported four regional PhiDE suturing clinics. This year, we have been asked to support a large suturing clinic at their international convention on 13 Jan in Chicago. This is an introduction to suturing for college students and nonclinical medical students—all specialties are encouraged to apply. Navy Recruit Command will be funding the event, although participants will need to have approval from their local command.
- We need approximately 35 physicians across all specialties to assist.
