Chief, Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division Assistant Director Support, Defense Health Agency. The Director of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) requests service nominations to fill the O-6 level position. The officer selected will report directly to the Deputy Director of Public Health. The selected individual must possess the required experience in public health, intelligence, research, development, and acquisition and demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform and execute the duties and responsibilities outlined in the attached position description. The selected individual must hold a Secret (required) clearance or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (preferred) clearance. The officer will report directly to the Director, DHA. The assignment is 36 months, and the primary duty location is in Falls Church, Virginia . The selected individual should arrive no later than September 30, 2024, with early reporting authorized.

The Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations announced the following assignments:

Rear Adm. (lower half) Walter D. Brafford is assigned as commander, Naval Medical Forces Support Command, with additional duties as Chief of the Dental Corps, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Robert J. Hawkins is assigned as deputy assistant director, Operations, Strategy, and Education and Training, Defense Health Agency, with additional duties as Chief of the Navy Nurse Corps, Falls Church, Virginia.
