Marines use drone to deliver refrigerated blood during Australia exercise
BLUF – U.S. Marines demonstrated the use of a Tactical Resupply Unmanned Aircraft System (TRUAS) to deliver refrigerated simulated blood by drone during the multinational Predator’s Run exercise in Australia, validating a medical resupply capability designed to sustain dispersed forces in contested environments without exposing personnel to unnecessary risk. For Navy Medicine, the exercise highlights the growing potential of autonomous logistics to improve timely delivery of blood products and other lifesaving medical supplies, strengthening expeditionary casualty care and medical readiness for distributed maritime and joint operations.
