The focus is on the Expeditionary Medical units (ERSS, ERCS, EMU, etc.), and they are all at NMRTCs/MTFs. They are not operational like jobs with the Fleet or USMC.
Obviously individual situations are different, and I’d need more details to continue the dialogue. What’s your specialty? Where are you stationed? Up to you if you want to do that or not.

They sure feel operational as I get back to back to back to back one/two year deployable orders and get sent somewhere every year or two.
