MC Chief Letter for O4 or O5 Board Requests – Due 1 March 2024
Packages will be submitted to the Medical Corps Chief’s Office from the CMO/TYCOM/Fleet Surgeon with CO endorsement to the MC Career Planner, CAPT Shauna O’Sullivan, with the Deputy Corps Chief, Captain Terri Allen. CC’ed for awareness. The packages will include:
i. Officer Summary Record (OSR)
ii. Performance Summary Record (PSR)
iii. Last two Fitreps
iv. Draft Letter for Admiral Valdes to sign if the officer is selected
·The Corps Chief’s Office will score and rank packages. The top 3 will be presented to RMDL Valdes for consideration.
·The Corps Chief will notify the command of the selected officer and provide the signed letter by RDML Valdes for records maintenance.
Call for Medical Corps Magazine Articles
The MC Chief’s Office is looking for articles for the MC Magazine. Ideally, articles are 250-500 words (with 1-2 photos and captions) that show the cool things that MC officers are doing or impact MC officers. This is a great way to highlight new initiatives, residents, junior faculty, and retiring leaders. Please send ideas, articles, and photos to CDR Robyn Treadwell, BUMED N001C Plans and Policy Officer, by 15 Feb.

Plans and Policy Officer, Medical Corps – The Medical Corps Chief seeks qualified officers to fill the O-5/O-6 level position as Plans and Policy Officer for the Medical Corps Chiefs Office. The selected individual must possess the required experience and demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform and execute the duties and responsibilities as outlined at the attached position description. The assignment is 36 months, and the primary duty location is in Falls Church, Virginia. The selected individual should arrive no later than Jun 1, 2024, with early reporting authorized.
