Special Leave Accrual for Operation Epic Fury
BLUF – Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao designated Operation EPIC FURY and qualifying FY 2026 deployments exceeding 60 consecutive days as eligible for Special Leave Accrual, allowing service members to carry up to 90 days of leave into the next fiscal year with written approval from an officer above O-6. For Navy Medicine, the policy provides a mechanism for medical personnel supporting qualifying operations and extended deployments to preserve leave they could not use because of operational demands.
