From CNP: April Navy Career News
The newest edition of the Sailor-to-Sailor newsletter is here! Your monthly source for essential career updates, leadership messages, and policy changes that directly impact you and your Sailors.
In this edition:
– Uniform reimbursement (no out-of-pocket costs): The Navy’s new Uniform Electronic Gift Card Program helps eligible Sailors get missing seabag items from RTC – directly through NEX uniform centers. If you’re owed items, you can request your e-gift card and get what you need before the Sept. 30, 2026 deadline.
– Cyber awareness (protect yourself): Navy personnel are being targeted by phishing and social engineering scams. Strengthen passwords, enable multi-factor authentication, and report suspicious activity. All hands must complete the FY-26 Cybersecurity Awareness Challenge by Sept. 1, 2026 to maintain network access.
– Readiness and accountability: Sailors must update personal and emergency contact information in NFAAS by May 15, 2026 to ensure accountability and family readiness during emergencies.
– Voice matters: The Health of the Force Survey is live. Take 20 minutes to provide feedback that directly informs Navy programs, policies, and senior leader decisions.
– Career milestones and recognition: Key dates include the CY-2026 E-4 Meritorious Advancement Program, CPO selection board letter deadlines, and nominations for the 2026 Mrs. Sybil Stockdale Ombudsman of the Year Award.
– Stay engaged: Career Development Symposium events continue across the Fleet, connecting Sailors directly with detailers, community managers, and program experts to help you make informed career decisions.
