“To be clear: MTF performance informs
future funding. MTFs meeting minimum performance targets, or failing to meet
targets altogether, should expect reduced funding in FY2025. Likewise, increased
funding may be provided to those MTFs significantly exceeding performance
targets.”
It’s hard to hit performance goals when the institution is missing the $25 billion dollars that we should be spending now with healthcare inflation to achieve the same outcomes we did 10-15 years ago.
Are they going to close underperforming medical centers and hospitals as they cut their budget? Cutting funding while not being willing to reduce patient care will just lead to worse patient care.
