I don’t use the TSP I Fund because it was only invested in developed international countries and excluded the developing countries (where much of the growth potential resides), but not anymore according to this TSP release! Here is an article that details the change:

The Updated FY26 Promo Prep is Now Chapter 3 in The Wealthy Captain!
This blog has been primarily about three things:
- Helping you advance your career
- Personal finance
- Keeping you in the know
I’m going to combining #1 and #2 into a new resource called The Wealthy Captain: Your Guide to Becoming One. This means that the document that used to be called “The Promo Prep” or “Joel Schofer’s Promo Prep” is now Chapter 3 in The Wealthy Captain.
There will come a time when I no longer can do this blog, so my plan is to slowly but surely turn The Wealthy Captain into a lasting resource with timeless advice. For now, it is a very short 30 page or so e-book, but as I work through all the content I’ve written in the last 10 years, my hope is that it will become much more than that.
Don’t worry. I’ll make sure that everyone can easily find what they are looking for as I slowly update things. In other words, I’ll keep the Promo Prep tab on the blog since people are used to going there. But there will now be a Wealthy Captain tab as well.
The FY26 promotion boards are coming. Happy preparing!
