DHA Director Calls for Data-Driven Push to Strengthen Warfighter Health
BLUF – Defense Health Agency Director Vice Adm. Darin Via outlined a health information technology strategy centered on transforming the Military Health System into a faster, more connected, data-driven enterprise by accelerating the adoption of commercial technologies, integrating currently disconnected data systems, and expanding the use of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, precision medicine, and digital health tools. For Navy Medicine, Via’s vision reinforces the growing importance of interoperable data systems, AI-enabled clinical decision support, and technology that delivers measurable outcomes while ensuring that corpsmen, medics, and clinicians have rapid access to the information needed to improve warfighter readiness and patient care.
