How the Defense Health Agency Is Building the Data Foundation for an AI-First Organization
BLUF – Defense Health Agency Chief Data and Analytics Officer Jesus Caban described DHA’s strategy to become an “AI-first” organization by first establishing trusted, interoperable data governance across more than 100 systems, leveraging the War Data Platform to securely share information, and expanding AI applications such as ambient clinical documentation, readiness prediction, mental health models, and medical logistics while investing heavily in workforce AI literacy.
